Dear parents, musical season is an entire three months of rigorous training and hard work and we would like to let you know how it can affect your children's time management. Cast and tech members, please show this letter to your parents and bring them to the parent meeting!

Drama Club's Winter Wonderland Party is on December 21 after school at 2:30PM. There will be a sign up sheet for dishes and beverages up soon. To be allowed entry, we would prefer you bring a dish and/or a party serving of beverages. We will also be revealing Secret Santa's that day. More information on the activities happening during the party will be coming soon.

WEDNESDAY (NOV. 7): AUDITION WORKSHOP ROOM 401 DURING LUNCH
Recommended, but not required. We will go over the audition process, including how to slate, audition etiquette and dress, and other tips to calm and ease the nerves of students considering auditioning.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY (NOV. 13-14): MUSIC AUDITIONS ROOM 403 2:30-??
Students choose one of the two days and will check in at room 401 (Drama Room)
THURSDAY (NOV. 15): DANCE AUDITIONS ROOM 401 2:30-??
Students should report to room 401 at 3:45 for check in and then will proceed to the Cheer Room/Foyer. All students must do the dance audition as well as the vocal audition. Dance auditions are divided into two groups: Those with dance experience and those who have no dance experience whatsoever. It's fun and stress free!
FRIDAY (NOV. 16): CALLBACKS 2:30-??
Callback students report to Room 401. Callbacks will be posted online and at the door by lunch time.
*** Remember, you are required to go to both vocal and dance audition days.***
There will not be a Drama Club meeting during lunch this Wednesday. However there will be a Halloween Party after school from 2:35 to 3:30, please do attend. The Drama Room will be open only to officers during the lunch period, volunteered helping is not needed or necessary.
In order to be admitted, please sign your name on the list with the food item you are bringing. This is a potluck so only those bringing food will be allowed in. If you bring food but you did not sign up, you will NOT be admitted. There is limited space so officers are estimating how many seats are needed according to the sign up list, be sure to sign up! You can bring a party sized entree, two bags of candy, or two bottles/boxes of soda. Please keep in mind of what others are bringing, we do not want too many of the same things!
There will be a handful of activities for party guests. Bowling, fortune telling, and so much more!
There will also be a costume contest, bring in your costumes. If necessary, bring in a reference image for the judges. There will be four winners and you could be one of them!
We hope to see all of you there!
In this week's meeting, we had our first Drama Club Workshop: Musical 101. Simply put, it's a brief workshop that explains the basics that students must know before this year's musical starts:
- What Les Miserables is all about
- The difference between a musical and a play
- How to select an audition song
- Who to ask for help
- Special dates to remember
- And a preview of what rehearsals will be like!
Drama Club Officers are planning to schedule more workshops in the future, be sure to keep coming back to know when those events will happen.
