Broadway's most legendary and long-lasting musical is finally here. Les Misérables is a story set in 19th century France, starting with the convict Jean Valjean on the run, trying to start his life anew but later realizes he is being chased by police inspector Javert. Valjean eventually meets many other characters including Fantine, an unfortunate mother trying to send money to her daughter Cosette, who is residing with the abusive innkeepers, the Thénardiers. The musical itself is a true masterpiece for its emphasis on emotion and tragedy, making Les Mis a classic for its story, but a legend for its performance.
